Collection: 147 million specimens and artifacts related to the natural history of the Philippines, ranging from flora and fauna to artifacts related to human development.

Ground Floor: Introduction and Natural History
The ground floor welcomes visitors with exhibitions introducing the formation of the museum as well as basic information about the geology, flora, and fauna of the Philippines.

  • 1st Floor: Biodiversity of the Philippines

This floor focuses on the richness of the Philippine ecosystem, from tropical rainforests to coral reefs. Vivid models of flora and fauna, along with real specimens, help visitors better understand the country’s unique biodiversity.

The real skeleton of Lolong, the largest crocodile ever recorded in captivity in the Philippines, who passed away on February 10, 2013, hangs from the ceiling of the 1st Floor of the Museum.

  • 2nd Floor: Earth Science and Geology

The 2nd floor displays valuable mineral, gem, and fossil samples illustrating the geological changes of the Philippines over millions of years.

 

A giant globe model is installed on the 2nd floor of the Museum.

  • 3rd Floor: Human History and the Environment

This floor explores the relationship between humans and the natural environment from prehistoric times to the present. Visitors will learn about how humans have impacted the ecosystem and the current efforts to protect the environment.

  • 4th Floor: Special Exhibitions and Events

The 4th floor is generally reserved for rotating exhibitions and special events. This is where seminars, lectures, and educational activities related to natural history are held.
